Hi, Is the spare tire area the same as the factory hitch?

Hey Blaine. I don't have any specifications on the factory hitch. The B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch item # BWHDRH25401 is compatible with the factory spare when installed on your 2012 Ford F-350. The measurement from the outside to the outside of the frame brackets is 35.25". The side plates are .25" thick. Which would make the space between the inside of the brackets 34.75".
