How do I replace the XT solid fold rear tail clamps that’s inside the cover

Hey Craig, thanks for reaching out!
You'll need to cut part of the rail to remove the old and install the new Replacement Tail Clamp Assembly # EX1035.
It seems kind of goofy to me, but my contact at Extang confirmed this is how the installation is supposed to go. We've actually got a really good review on this part where someone gave some specific details on how they did this and provided photos as well. I'm linking their experience to this page in a photo for your reference.
I'd love to hear how your experience goes with this whenever you get it finished!
