Installation Instructions for Extang Replacement Tail Clamp Assembly EX1035 in Solid Fold Tonneau

Question:
Hi....I have the Extang Soild Fold on a 2008 Chevy Silverado and am looking for the installation instructions on a replacement clamp assembly p/n EX1035. It was not clear on the other responses how to do this install. thanks

To install the Extang Replacement Tail Clamp Assembly # EX1035 into an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 Hard Tonneau Cover like # EX83651 you will need to cut a notch in the channel. A spot near the middle of the cover is preferred.
Usually you'll only need to make a notch on one side of the channel, to create an opening just large enough to both remove the original clamp and then to install the new one into the channel and then slide it back into position.
My contact at Extang indicated that usually a Dremel-type rotary tool can do this job most easily.
