Why Would Trailer Wiring Have the Running Lights Brighter than Stop/Turn
Updated 09/22/2025 | Published 09/10/2025 >
Question:
I just installed your V540 trailer light kit. I had to extend the power feed to the left tail light and I used a piece of the white wire. The marker light on that side is bright, But the tail light itself is very DIM. And The left turn sign doesn’t flash. Every other component works as expected Any suggestions….. thanks

Hey William, what is going on is that you have the running lights (lower brightness) and the stop/turn (brighter intensity) circuits swapped and that's why your running lights are brighter than the other circuits.
