Is a 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire a Good Replacement Option for a 5.70 x 8 Tire?

Question:
I have a small 52x48 trailer 1994 leland that I want to change the tires from 5.70x8 4 bolt pattern to a larger size that allows higher speed. It will be used for kayaks so weight isnt really a concern. Can you tell me if Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10 White Wheel - 4 on 4 - Load Range B are a good option and should fit, or is there a better option. Also, what wheel wells preferably bolt on would work with these? Current ones need to be replaced. Thanks for any help. The internet has no info on this trailer

The Kenda 205/65-10 Bias Trailer Tire with 10" White Wheel item # AM3H330 is going to be quite an upgrade over your 5.70 x 8 tire. The item # AM3H330 tire has a 20.5" diameter and it is about 8" wide. A 5.70 x 8 tire is 18.1" in diameter and is 5.7" wide so there is significant size difference. You'll need to take a couple of measurements to make sure there is space enough for the larger tire size.
The wider tire is going to require you to have a minimum of 6" from the end of your hub where the lugs are to the closest portion of your trailer's frame. You'll also be adding 1.2" in height between the top of your tire and the bottom of your fender. This may not be that big of a deal since you're planning on replacing the fenders anyways but you'll still want to measure.
What kind of fenders are you looking for? Plastic, metal, aluminum? Do you want a step on them? Do you want to bolt the fenders on or weld them on? We have quite a few options so I want to make sure I recommend the right one.

I mistyped the first message. The trailer is 42x48. Those tires will not work. There is not 6" of space. Are there any larger ones that will work with 4" ? (it might have been 4.5" and if that matters I will check again). As for fenders, I dont have a preference on bolt on or weld. Metal and do NOT need to be able to stand on them. Thanks for the help
