What is Difference Between Uni Servo and Duo Hydraulic Brake Assemblies for Trailer
Updated 11/24/2020 | Published 11/22/2020 >
Question:
Hi, I’m looking to replace the drum brakes on the boat trailer. Not sure what this uni servo is? The brakes on it are hydraulic with the reverse lever/lock out. If the new brakes have a special reverse auto release function built in that is how I interpret the newer brake will this still work on my trailer? I was looking at the item Item # AKFBBRK-7-D. My trailer is a four winns built i. 1993. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks

Uni servo and duo servo is basically the style of wheel cylinder. It basically puts pressure on either side of the cylinder. The styles are interchangeable so if you have one style over the other you can go with either style.
As long as your drum size is 12 inch and your axles are 5.2k to 7k the part # AKFBBRK-7-D would fit and work well.
