Hi Shawn!
The Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518010 can be used with Blue Ox tow bars, but not all of them. You will need the Blue Ox Tow Bar Adapter Brackets for Demco Classic Base Plates # DM9523034, but this will only fit Blue Ox's Aladdin, Avail, Aventa II, Aventa LX, or Alexus tow bars. If you have a different tow bar, you would need to go with a different base plate.
If this is the case, we do have the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1110 that will fit your 96 Jeep Cherokee and will work with all Blue Ox tow bars.
