Features to know about

Quick Hookup Without Clumsy Hardware

curt seeker quick hookup

Some tow bars make you hold everything in place while lining up levers or wrestling with stiff latch arms, which turns a simple task into a balancing act. The Seeker uses an auto-latching system that locks onto the base plate tabs on contact. Once it's in position, you just slide in the pins to secure the connection. There's no fumbling in the driveway while you're trying to leave and no asking someone to hold the arms while you lock things down. It's just a fast, secure connection that lets you get on the road.

Less Wear and More Peace of Mind

curt seeker three lug shackle

The Seeker's 3-lug shackle ends help spread out the load and reduce stress on your base plate tabs. That small change adds up over time when you're towing often or logging long miles. It adds up to fewer alignment issues, less play in the connection, and a setup that still feels tight after a full season on the road.

Sealed Arms Stay Functional in Dust, Rain, and Road Grime

curt seeker strong construction

Dust and grit can work their way into tow bar arms, especially after miles and miles across country or trips down gravel roads. When that happens, they start sticking or stop retracting altogether. This tow bar solves the issue with fully sealed arms and rubber sleeves that help keep debris out of the mechanism. That protection keeps the arms moving freely, even after heavy use.

No-Stick Release in Rough Conditions

curt seeker release

Disconnecting on uneven ground is one of the most common headaches in flat towing. Sloped campsites, soft shoulders, and angled driveways can put tension on the arms and cause standard latches to seize. The Seeker's latch system is designed to release without straining, even when the setup isn't ideal. You won't be stuck prying it loose or jerking the vehicle just to disconnect.

Flexible Storage That Matches Your RV Setup

curt seeker storage

After you disconnect, you're still not done. If the arms don't stow cleanly, they can rattle or get in the way when you're trying to pull out. This tow bar gives you more control with 3 ways to position the arms, so they stay put and out of your path. You can fold the arms to the left, to the right, or out to the sides. You'll be fitting your setup, not squeezing around it in a tight campground or brushing past it every time you open the hatch.

Simple Tow Bar Installation

This tow bar connects directly to a standard 2" hitch receiver and is compatible with Curt and Blue Ox base plates (sold separately). If you still need to install the base plate and would rather not do it yourself, we can help you find a trusted installer to handle the job.

Video Transcript for Review of CURT Tow Bar - Rambler Non Binding Tow Bar 7500 LBS - C25DQ

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this CURT Rambler non-binding tow bar. Now, this tow bar is designed to make towing as simple and as stress-free as possible, especially compared to those older, more frustrating setups. This tow bar is gonna be compatible with CURT and Blue Ox base plates, making this a flexible option if you already have one of those systems installed, and this is also going to fit your standard two-inch trailer hitch receivers, which is what most RVs are equipped with, and this also includes this pin and clip to get this secured to the trailer hitch receiver on your RV. Now, as far as strength goes, this is built to handle a wide range of vehicles.

It has a 7,500-pound towing capacity, so this is gonna be a great fit for most cars, SUVs, and many mid-size trucks. This is designed for dependable, long-term performance, not just occasional use. One of the biggest advantages is the non-binding latch design. So, if you've ever tried to unhook a tow bar on uneven ground, you know how stubborn they can get. This one's going to release smoothly even when you're not perfectly level.

Let me go out to my wide view again here. So, we have these levers here on the arms, so when you're ready to pull the arm out, you're just gonna lift that up and that's going to allow you to fully extend it. I know I'm a little bit out of frame there. You can hook this up, and then when you're ready to unhook and you wanna retract the arms, you just lift that lever again, and then that's going to allow you to push that back in, and then the arm's gonna be locked back into place. Very smooth.

Very easy. You're not really gonna be struggling with this at all, especially if you're not perfectly level or if you're at a bad angle, something like that. We also have this three-lug shackle end design here. That's gonna help reduce wear and stress on your base plate tabs, which can extend the life of your towing setup, and again, very easy to hook this up. This does already have a pin and a clip here, so when you're ready to hook that up, you're just going to remove the pin and clip, hook up this end to the base plate tabs, run that pin back through, secure it with the clip, and you're good to go, so very easy.

And as I'm sure you've already noticed, this is built with a fully sealed construction. The arms are protected by these rubber sleeves, so that's gonna help keep dirt, dust, and road grit out. That means that the arms are gonna stay clean inside and retract and extend smoothly over time instead of getting gritty and hard to use. When you're not towing, these arms are going to give you a different adaptable stow position, so you're gonna be able to fold the arms all the way to the left, all the way to the right, or you could actually split them apart on the back of your RV when you're not using this. Now, I don't, unfortunately, have the upper body strength or the arm strength to show that to you. If I had this inserted into a receiver, I probably could, but I did wanna let you know that you do have those options to stow this so it's not awkwardly sticking out in your way when you're not flat towing. The construction is solid. This is built to last. It's made from carbon steel with a nice, slightly textured, durable black powder coat finish, so this is gonna give you the strength that you need along with corrosion-resistant features for life on the road, and you are also going to get these safety cables as well, so that's a nice addition to this tow bar. So, virtually everything that you need to hook up your tow bar. Instructions are also included to guide you through the installation, the operation, and the upkeep. If you happen to have any other questions, don't hesitate to reach out 'cause ultimately we do wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
