Question:

Will the Brophy TDSF stake-pocket camper tie downs fit my 2000 GMC Sierra 1500? I dont intend to tie down a truck camper with them. I have different light-duty application for them. Thnx.

I spoke with my contact at Brophy and they told me that since 1988, GM has recommended not using the stake-pocket camper tie-downs on their trucks, which would include your 2000 GMC Sierra 1500. It is not a matter of them not fitting, but per the truck manufacturer, I cannot recommend them.

I do recommend using the Brophy Heavy Duty Tie-Downs, part # HSSF. These clamp to the inside of the truck bed and do not require any drilling for installation. I have attached a product review for these tie-downs you can check out. I have also attached a photo of this tie-down that shows the dimensions.
