When you’re hauling a camper, the last thing you want is shifting or sway. These frame-mounted tie-downs keep your setup solid by attaching directly to the truck’s frame—the strongest point available. That lowers the camper’s center of gravity and spreads its weight evenly, giving you stable handling even on rough or windy routes. Because they’re mounted to the frame instead of the bed or bumper, you get a ride that feels just as steady as driving without a camper.
These tie-downs bolt straight into pre-existing holes in the frame, so setup is simple and doesn’t require cutting or drilling. The custom fit means everything mounts tight against the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. Once installed, they stay out of the way and don’t hang low, so you won’t have to worry about catching them on uneven roads.
You can remove the arms when the camper’s off and hardly notice the brackets underneath. The mounts tuck up close to the body, keeping your truck’s clean look intact between trips. When it’s time to load up again, just slide the arms back in and attach your turnbuckles.

Made with rustproof aluminum arms and stainless steel receiver brackets, these tie-downs are built for years of use in all kinds of weather. The high-impact powder coat adds another layer of protection from road debris and salt, so they’ll stay strong through long-distance travel.
Each arm has two pin holes that let you fine-tune how far it extends from the body. That extra adjustability helps clear fenders or sidewalls while giving your turnbuckles a clean line to your camper anchors. With two anchor holes on each plate, you can set the best tension and angle for a secure hold every time.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a look at these Torklift Talon custom frame mounted aluminum front camper Tie-downs. Now these tie-downs provide attachment points at the front of your truck bed for securing a bed mounted camper. These are a custom fit part, so these are designed to fit various versions of the early 2000 year models of the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado. To see if these are going to work for your truck take advantage of our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer.com and insert the year, make and model of your truck.
And our fit guide will let you know if these will work for you, or if we have something comparable that will work for you. Now, the frame mounted design is going to ensure excellent handling because securing your camper to your truck's base, instead of its bed better distributes weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. The brackets are going to fit tight to your truck's frame. So there's not gonna be any loss of ground clearance. And these rust proof and lightweight aluminum alloy tie-down inserts are going to secure to durable stainless steel receiver brackets.
Now the inserts can be easily removed, from the frame mounted brackets, just remove the included bale pins here. That's going to secure the inserts inside of the receiver and they remove easily. Again, these aluminum inserts are lightweight and so they're gonna be very easy to remove from your receiver bracket and then throw them in the the back of the cab of your truck for easy storage. And then you're gonna be able to easily reinsert these when you are ready to use them. Again, these are rustproof and yes, they are lightweight but they are also very durable.
Now the inserts have two different holes. And so if your camper is a little bit wider you would use this first hole on the insert to have that tie down point, stick out a little bit farther. And if your camper is a little bit narrower, you can move it into this inner hole. And that's where I'm going to move this one back to where I had it originally and line up my holes with my pin. And that's how easy it is to reinsert it and secure it.
So this is gonna provide you a nice secure connection for your turn buckles. Now these feature a high impact powder coat finish. That's going to add an extra layer of protection to the brackets and the inserts and you're gonna get everything you see here on the table before me, you're gonna get two front tie down inserts. You're gonna get the frame brackets, the necessary hardware and instructions to walk you through step by, step on installing these. So you have everything here for a successful installation. The rear tie downs are sold separately but can be found here at etrailer.com. Again, by using our fit guide and these are made in the USA and have a limited lifetime warranty. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
