These tie-downs mount directly to your truck’s frame, which is the strongest and most stable part of the vehicle. By anchoring at the frame instead of the bed or bumper, the camper’s weight is evenly distributed and the center of gravity stays low. That means no top-heavy feel, no swaying in crosswinds, and a more confident drive whether you’re on the highway or rough roads. Once tightened down, the camper stays solidly in place so your truck handles just like it does unloaded.
The brackets bolt onto pre-existing holes in the frame, so there’s little to no drilling and no need to cut or modify anything. The custom fit keeps the tie-downs snug against the frame with minimal loss of ground clearance. That makes installation straightforward and helps protect your truck’s structure while giving you a clean, professional setup that’s easy to live with day to day.
Made of durable steel with a high-impact powder coat finish, these tie-downs are built to handle long hauls, rough terrain, and changing weather. The powder coating adds extra protection against wear and corrosion so you can count on them season after season. Each kit includes two front tie-downs, two rear tie-downs, and all necessary mounting hardware for a complete setup.
When the camper is off the truck, the arms slide out so only the compact brackets remain tucked beneath the body. That way your truck keeps its clean lines without bulky hardware hanging below. When it’s time to load up again, just reinsert the arms and hook up your turnbuckles (sold separately) to get back on the road fast.

Each arm includes two pin holes so you can set how far they extend to clear fenders or sidewalls. You can also choose between two anchor holes on each plate to line up your turnbuckles for the best angle and tension. This flexibility makes it easier to secure your camper tightly from multiple directions and keep everything stable mile after mile.

Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the TorkLift custom rear frame mounted camper tie-downs. Now these are a custom fit part. They are designed to fit the 2001 to 2007 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500 trucks with the 8 foot bed. And because they're a custom fit part I do like to recommend for you to go to our website use the fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it'll show if these will work for your application.
Now, these tie-downs will provide the attachment points at the rear of your truck for securing your bed mounted camper to your vehicle. We do also sell the front tie-downs. They are sold separately and they are listed on this product page as a related product. Basically one of the tie-downs goes on the driver's side the other one goes on the passenger side and the two holes there on the tie-down inserts is what allow you to connect your turnbuckles from your camper to your truck. Just want to zoom in and show you here's the insert and see the two holes here to connect your turnbuckle to and that won't interfere with anything on your vehicle.
Now, there is also two holes on the insert shank. I take the pin out, slide the insert out. You'll be able to see there's the two holes on there and this will allow for different with campers. So when you go to slide it in and line the hole up, the first hole line up right about there and that's for a wider camper. If you have a little bit narrower camper you can slide it all the way in pin it right there.
Find a hole up. Oops! There we go. And then go ahead and pin it there that'll be for a little bit narrower camper. Now you'll feel dramatic improvement with the vehicle handling and stability because this is the safest way to haul a truck camper it'll prevent any vehicle swaying camper movement in all directions. You'll be able to haul your truck camper confidently by attaching your tie-downs to the strongest part of the truck, which is the frame.
The vehicle manufacturer does recommend that all full high sliding camper bodies should be directly attached to the vehicle frame structure. A frame mounted design ensures excellent handling by securing the camper to the truck's base instead of just to the truck bed. So it will better distribute the weight to keep your setup from being too top heavy. Plus, it will even help avoid bed and bumper damage. That's common with other tie-downs systems. Now this is a fast no-drill installation. Secures your truck camper to your truck and will also maintain the value of your truck and prevent any rust and bed damage by avoiding drilling into your truck, bed or bumper. As we mentioned, these are custom fit for your vehicle to driver side and the passenger side brackets. The brackets right here are designed to fit tight to the truck frame. So there's no loss of any ground clearance. So that's perfect for off road, truck camping. And when these are installed they're virtually undetectable when they're not in use. These tie-down inserts can be easily removed from the full amount of receiver brackets. As we showed you earlier, just pop the pin out, take out the insert, as once the inserts out, this would all be underneath. So the hidden design of these frame brackets will return your truck to its original look when they're not being used as tied-down. And then when you go to use them again just take your insert, slide it into whatever hole you need. Put your pen all the way through then clip it into place and you're all ready to go. Now these are a steel construction have a nice black powder coated finish for durability. And it does include let me zoom out here. It include the two rear tie-down inserts right here two frame brackets and necessary hardware to install it. Nice set of instructions. That'll describe with pictures, how it all installs and these parts are made in the USA but that should do it for the review on the TorkLift custom rear frame mounted camper tie-downs..

It definitely is safe the way you have them, Paul! In a perfect world, the turn buckles would be perfect vertical, but this an imperfect world and not all campers have the attachment points in the same place. If you take a look at some of the installed pictures on the TorkLift Locking FastGun Turnbuckles # TLS9529-2-LK page, you can see most of them are at an angle. It's perfectly normal. Are you running any suspension enhancement on your Silverado?

Install looks great, Megan! Especially for it only taking two hours! They were moving. : ) Happy we confirmed what you found as well. Tie downs can be a pain in the rear with all the options out there. Now I do have to ask though, have you guys thought about any kind of suspension enhancement for the rear axle? It's a little hard to tell, but it looks like the back is sagging a bit in your last picture.

A year later and I would not do anything different. Absolutely the best system available especially paired with the fast guns. The camper is solid mounted and does not move. Yet can still be off loaded in just a few minutes. Remember good stuff isn’t cheap and cheap stuff isn’t good.
