Question:

can you still haul a trailer using the camper mounts

Yes, you can Jeff! You can still use your F-350's hitch to pull a trailer with the TorkLift Tie Downs item # TL87DR installed. You will most likely need an extension though to clear your in bed camper if you plan on towing a trailer with it in your bed. The weight of your camper and the tie downs themselves will not affect the functionality of your truck's hitch.

The TorkLift Tie Downs item # TL87DR you were looking at fit the 2024 Ford F-350 with an 8' long bed and a factory hitch.

We have many options for Tie Downs that fit a 2024 F-350 depending on your truck's bed length and what type of hitch you have. If you could put this information below where it says Add Comment, I'll be happy to recommend the correct set of tie downs you'll need.

Are you planning on towing while using your in bed camper?

2022 F350 dually FX4, 7.3L Godzilla carrying a heavy Host Mammoth truck camper. Good product. Rear tie downs very easy to install with factory hitch. Fronts are a little more difficult in that you have to fish the hardware through the boxed in frame with supplied wire. I installed by myself, but you may want to follow instructions and use a second pair of hands to hold the bracket in place while the hardware (fasteners) is being secured. IMO, best way to go for a heavy slide-in truck camper.

Hi Jeff, Yes. I have a 2024 F350 dually with an 8 foot bed. I put a Lance 815 cab over on it with the TL87DR package. These tie downs work awesome! Never a worry of my cabover moving. I pull a V-nose cargo trailer with no issues whatsoever. Only concern you may have is the drivers side front location of your turnbuckle. Make sure you can access your fuel cap otherwise you may want to get a Fastgun turnbuckle for easy access to your fuel and DEF fillers.

In early 2025, I purchased Tie Downs specifically designed for my 2022 Ford F350 dually FX4, which is equipped with the 7.3L Godzilla engine. This truck is responsible for hauling a large and heavy Lance truck camper. After more than a year of use, the Tie Downs have performed exceptionally well, even when combined with a receiver hitch extension. Throughout this period, I have encountered absolutely no issues with their functionality or reliability. Tie downs are left on the truck when the camper is off the vehicle without any problems. A mechanic performed the install but they can be a DIY project too. Given my positive experience, I would highly recommend these Tie Downs for anyone with a similar truck and camper setup.
