Can Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Handle 3,000 lb Camper
Products Featured in This Question
Question:
Hello, I was hoping to have some concerns of mine addressed. I currently have the Brophy stake pocket mounted camper tie downs, but I am concerned about their maximum weight. I am looking at a 96 Okanagan 105W truck bed camper, which weights somewhere around 3000-3250lbs. Would I be safe to pick up the camper with the bed stake mounts? Or should I not even try with this style? Thanks

Hi Adam,
The Brophy Stake Pocket Mounted Camper Tie-Downs # TDSF don't technically have a weight capacity, though the turnbuckles they need, the Brophy Basic Turnbuckles w/ Hardware for Camper Tie-Downs # TDHP, have a 3,000 lb weight capacity. So if the camper is 3,250 lbs you'd need to go with a different option like HappiJac tie-downs.
If you let me know the year, make, model of your truck as well as things like bed size, what hitch you have, and if you have running boards I can find the right fit for you.
