I have a Demco Recon 5th wheel hitch using aftermarket installed bed rails. Im planning to purchase a new Ford with the manufacturer 5th wheel/gooseneck prep package. Would my hitch need a puck system adapter or could I alternatively buy a replacement base for the gooseneck ball?

Hey Clayton, you could use the Replacement Base Assembly part # DM6201 which would attach to the OEM gooseneck hitch ball but there isn't a version of this hitch that has a base that matches up to a Ford puck system. Do you have the Ford gooseneck ball?

So I can use my current Demco Recon hitch head that I previously used with the bed rails base, but use a goose neck ball with this base instead of a puck system adapter. Correct?
