Hi Dawin!

With the etrailer Tandem Axle Teardrop Fenders w/ Backing Plates - 15" to 16" Wheels - Qty 2 # HP92VR measuring 72" long, the mid point would be 36", which therein means 18" of space from the absolute center of the wheel well to the inside of the fender. This gives you a good amount of wiggle room for axle spacing (also referred to as the wheelbase), but it will depend on your tire size.

As an example, the Taskmaster Provider HD ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range G # TTWPRG235R16 (the largest tire we currently carry), will have a 31-3/4" diameter when inflated (half of with is 15.875). This means you could potentially have up to 40" of space between your axles (especially if you have smaller tires), but for 16" wheels, I would want that number to be closer to 38" to be on the safe side.

What is your current axle spacing measurement and what size are your tires?

Hi Dawin, Did you get a chance to measure your current axle spacing and tire size? I'm curious to know if the information I provided helped you figure out the right setup for your trailer. Let me know because I want to make sure you're all set and can help others in a similar situation!
