This harness skips the messy part of wiring and plugs straight into the factory connectors behind the tail lights. There’s no need to splice or modify any existing wiring. It’s a direct plug-in setup that keeps everything neat and hidden out of sight once installed.
LED setups can be tricky since they draw less current, but this harness includes a powered converter that connects directly to the battery. That separate power feed protects sensitive electronics while making sure your trailer lights work properly every time.
Once installed, the 4-flat connector gives you all the basic functions—running lights, turn signals, and brake lights—so your trailer stays visible and road legal. It’s ready to pair with most small trailers and can also connect to a 7-way kit if you decide to add one later.
Each wire in the harness is built with 14-gauge conductors for solid current flow and long service life. That heavier wire helps prevent voltage drop, supports consistent lighting performance, and stands up well to vibration or exposure behind body panels.

The wiring harness I received does not fit my 2022 bronco had to return it and order a new one.
Nicely done by Curt. I didn't get towing package on my ordered Ford Bronco, so this along with Curt Hitch 13493 will do the job. Plug and play except having to run a wire to the battery for 12v supply. Haven't installed yet.
Product was for LED Broncos, mine is a Base. Had to have a trailer shop swap wires in the harness. Worked for a while and now one brake light on the Bronco is out. Ripping this out and getting the proper Ford harness.
The description of this needs to have a warning for LED tail lamps only. I’m going to change the pins around but this will not work for non LED. There is nothing listed about this that says LED until you get to the reviews. Come on etrailer be better!

When the fitguide is used for a 2021 Ford Bronco and the wiring harness option is ed there is a down menu to choose whether the Bronco has LED tail lights. For those without LED tail lights you would want to use part # 119190KIT.
The OEM kit requires tapping into existing wires which increases risk of corrosion. This kit taps into existing connectors to alleviate that risk. I did modify it so it fits the OE hitch to look like it was factory installed. It was easy to install, works perfect, and eTrailer was great with the order and shipping, too.
This wiring harness was a piece of sh@t! If it wasn’t for the guy on the [onllne] channel “Budget Bronco” I never would of gotten this thing to work. Watch the video!

I recommend watching the video review that we have in the link below.
Great product. Right price, fast delivery, and quick response time. Thank you.
great wiring kit
Top quality products. Super fast shipping. A great selection and top-notch customer service. Who could ask for more when making a purchase.
2021 bronco. Great quality but… the passenger taillight plugs had the wiring wrong. I found that the right blinker wasn’t working because of the way they had the pins pushed into the plugs in the wrong location. They had the pin for turn signal in a part of the plug that didn’t go to anything on the vehicle side. The green wire should have been where the white wire with black mark is. I was able to pull the plugs apart and move the pins into the correct locations. CURT NEEDS TO FIX THIS.
And maybe it was only the one I received.

I have reached out to Curt, they mentioned that this harness will only work with LED tail lights. They have passed this issue to their engineering team to research.
First of all, I initially ordered the wrong item and reached out to etrailer. I spoke to Will S. in Customer service, who could not have been more professional, courteous and helpful. In the past few years, most corporate customer service has been horrible, but not at etrailer, it was exceptional. Will S. is an asset to the organization and I will be using etrailer in the future simply because of the experience I had correcting my own mistake. Thank you Will.
Regarding the setup, it was a bit more difficult than I thought it would be. The reviews said a simple setup, but the definition of simple is subjective.
A few months ago, I ordered a receiver and wiring harness for my Subaru CrossTrek the reviews said installing the harness was 'simple'. I didn't believe it, but when I installed the harness, the wiring process involved simply plugging in the harness. (Just plug the harness into the factory plug behind the rear seat). Yes I had to lift the carpet a bit to find the plug, but that was it.
This harness for my Ford Bronco, involved disconnecting the tail lights and inserting the harness plug mid-stream between the separated connectors. This was not too bad, but the installation also required running a power line to the battery.
Fortunately, the Bronco has powered Aux switches, so I ran the wire to the number 6 Aux connection and it worked great. Then I spent the next hour shimmying under the vehicle to thread the power line through and tie-wrap it to other wires under the vehicle.
So, yes the installation is simple. However, as stated previously, simple is a subjective word.

Yep, it really depends on the vehicles wiring as to how simple the installation will be. I appreciate a good shortcut however I need to say that actually running the power wire to the battery is the best bet. Wiring it to anywhere else may damage the vehicle wiring as it could overload it. I have a helpful FAQ for tips on running the wire to the battery.

Have not yet had it installed but soon. My guy said it was this one is the right one for us. So thank you Elijah!!!!!
Easy installation fast shipping
This was also installed with the hitch on my 2024 Bronco. Better quality than OEM
Worked perfectly but wish wires from control module to 4pin were longer allowing more module placement options
The online video was the most helpful. Used heat shrink tube over the butt connectors that were included. There’s bare metal to the left of the muffler on the bottom of the body that is a good place to self tap the ground. Flat towed a vehicle last night using this kit and the hitch and worked like a charm.
I have 2022 Bronco big bend.... the wiring is wrong. I had to change 2 pins in all 4 plugs.
Found a video on YouTube for a fix.

Item still functioning as it should, my trailer lights work well.
Great product. Great installation video on website. Relatively easy to install. Just took a long time trying to do it right.
Better wire connectors that work to heat sink and more wire ties would help installation.
Wiring installed relatively seamlessly. Depending on frequency of off-roading, would recommend power washing undercarriage of vehicle prior to install (did mine several days after moderate rain, did not account for residual dirt/ mud accumulation).
My kit did not come with connector cover, requiring a temporary protective cover (ziplock + duct tape) until a more permanent and aesthetic solution can be identified.
Overall, very pleased with this.
The You-Tube videos were also useful.
Easy to install with great directions from the etrailer video.
Great product and Rentz of Clearwater Fl did a five star job installing both the hitch wiring.
Wiring harness for the Ford Bronco, installation is very straightforward and easy! Works perfectly!
Easy enough install however the need for 12v power separately due to the LED taillights slightly complicates this install. Other than that the construction and design are top notch.

It could be possible you purchased the wrong harnesss. The Curt # C42WR you purchased is for 2022 Ford Bronco models with LED taillights. If you do NOT have LED taillights, youd need part # C87BR instead.
