Hey Bruce. We don't have an installation video of the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit item # BLU68CR being installed on a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland. We've only had a chance to install it on a 2024 and 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L without the lower Active Shutter Grille.

Here are the rest of the parts you'll need to flat tow your 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland:

Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Blue Ox Avail Non-Binding Tow Bar item # BX7420

Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267

Charge Line - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles item # RM-156-25

Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes

High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

What kind of motorhome do you have?

Hi Jerred H, I have a 2019 Ford E-450 cab and chassis with a 2021 Forest River Sun Seeker 2860 DS that has previously flat towed a 2010 Grand Cherokee with a Blue ox Aventa LX tow bar and Patriot ll braking system. I plan to use the preowned tow bar and Patriot II, but I will need everything else neccesary to Flat tow my 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Overland, which "does not have, a lower active shutter grill.” I may need a qualified installer near me if there is one. My zip is 48703. Thanks for your assistance.

@Bruce Thanks for all of the information! Sounds like you've got the big purchases out of the way already. Did you keep your 7-way to 6-way cable from your previous flat tow and does your Jeep have the Parksense feature? If it does you'll need the Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord item # RM63MR if you need a new cable or item # RM47ZR, item # RM-910030-7, and item # RM-910030-5. To link up with a local installer in your area. You'll want to go to the product page of the Roadmaster item # RM-910030-7 and scroll down below the pics on the left side you'll see a box that says, SCHEDULE AN INSTALLATION. Go ahead and click on it and it will take you to a page where you'll be able to enter your zip code. Once you do this you'll be connected to our network of reputable installers in your area.
