How To Tell If 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland L Has Active Air Shutters

Question:
I own a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland L. It has tow hooks and shutters on the front that I can see in the upper grill. I am not sure if these shutters are the same as the lower active grill shutters?foot Which Blue Ox base plate do I need?

Hey Bob, Based on your description you do have the active shutters on your '24 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland L. These shutters are between the bumper and the radiator, so since you can see them through the grill that tells me you have them.
Since we know that, then for sure you're going to need the Blue Ox Baseplate # BLU68CR.
Do you have the rest of the components to flat tow you're Jeep, or are you still needing them?

I have a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland 4xe and used the baseplate as advised. Just be aware when installing that the installer is putting the connections (Air, Wires, emergency brake) all the way down and not in the lower grill. Use the pins which are for that. It was easier to mount it in the grill (well the grill they removed) problem though was that I needed to get a front license plate and put that higher up thus blocking the sensor for the ACC. Had to reroute some things so I could use the original license plate holder. For the rest am very happy with the install. (I use also airforce one for braking.)
