This setup keeps things sleek when you’re not towing. The completely hidden base plate means nothing bulky sticks out past the bumper, and the removable arms give your front end a clean, factory look. Each receiver gets a snap-in cover to keep dirt and debris out, so everything stays protected and ready for the next trip.

Connecting your tow bar doesn’t have to be a chore. The twist-lock arms slide smoothly into the receivers and lock in place with a quick turn. When you’re done towing, pull the pin, rotate the arm, and remove it in seconds. It’s a straightforward process that makes solo hookups easy in your driveway or at the campsite.

This base plate bolts directly to the chassis using included hardware—no welding required. Its sturdy steel construction spreads towing forces evenly across the front end to reduce stress on the suspension. The durable powder-coated finish resists rust and corrosion, so it can handle years of road use without losing integrity.
The built-in lugs pair directly with Blue Ox tow bars for a tight, secure fit every time. If you’re running a different setup, it’s adaptable for use with Roadmaster tow bars using adapter RM-031 or RM-031-5, or with Demco tow bars using adapter DM9523041 (sold separately). Integrated mounting points also let you attach an electrical connector plug bracket easily to keep wiring neat and accessible.
For anyone who likes doing their own installs, this kit is designed for a direct bolt-on fit. No welding is needed, and it comes with all mounting hardware you’ll need for a solid connection to your chassis. With proper alignment and basic tools, it’s a weekend project that gives you confidence knowing everything is secured exactly how you want it.

Very helpful to work with, knowledgeable and service was quick..
Box was damaged not sure all parts are there it not your fault your service was great
Product work great and was easy to install. Only problem was putting the front facia back on the 2023 Jeep Cherokee it wouldn't go back far enough like it supposed too. Took back on and off 3 x's when realized it was a long bar of styrofoam hitting the flat tow bar. I looked at the instructions from etrailer and didn't have anything in the instructions about taking it off or cutting it back so the front facia could go back like it should. I ended up cutting the styrofoam back enough so the facia would fit like it should. All in all, everything else went smooth.
Sturdy, looks good installed. Easy to hook-up. Was a little pricy to get installed by body shop but well worth it
This towbar is performing very well. It is easy to use and very dependable
Well designed, very concealed. The videos were extremely helpful for installation.
Very fast delivery
This is my second base plate install. I’ve done a wrangler and now a Grand Cherokee. This is a very straight forward install. The videos and directions from e trailer are great!
The base plate arrived with the from chipped exposing bare metal. I didnt think much of it since the emergency cables are going to be linked there and scratch it up anyways. I went ahead with the install.
The only part that was frustrating was the whiz nuts. Took me an hour for this part alone (8 bolts) that should have taken a few minutes.
Less then a week after having it on the vehicle the part that was chipped is rusting. I’m going to have to find a solution for this.

I’m sorry to hear about the chipped coating and the rust showing up so quickly. Even small spots where the finish is compromised can start to oxidize once exposed, especially on bare steel. A quick touch-up with a rust-inhibiting paint or cold galvanizing spray should help stop it from spreading and protect that area long-term. If you haven’t already, it’s worth sealing it as soon as possible to prevent further corrosion.
Was a great addition to our GCL for flat towing! Makes hooking up very easy, and quick!
Sales team helped me with everything I needed. Product arrived promptly. When I opened the bass plate, the one part that stuck out of the vehicle where you clipped on the safety cables had the powder coating chipped off
It could use 4 spacer bars, mine had 2 so the rear sidebolts had to pull the bar in about 1/4". Fit was tight, could sit 1/2" higher, but it works. The installation video was a great help. Took me to about 10 hours being not familiar with this kind of work.

Looks great, Gil! It may have taken 10 hours but I know when our installers do it they take a full 8 hours and use a lift for the base plate. I think you can call yourself a pro now :)
Great product. Have the same plate on my RAM PU. Like the ease of removing the tow bar and inserts. Install was not as bad as it looks if you have the right tools. Took me and a good mechanic friend 4 hours and a 6 pack. Looks great. I opted to removing the lower grill instead of trimming it. In Texas we have to have a front license plate which covers most of it anyway. It just snaps out. Every thing lined up perfect. Hardest part was getting the blind "whiz nuts" to start (takes patience}. Very happy with finished look. Hint--print off the install instructions from the Blue Ox site --easier to see and they are in color. Thanks etrailer

Used several times and works well and is easy to hook and unhook

2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Good fit. Requires some cutting. Baseplate is heavy, so I paid an installer to do the job.

I am glad it worked well for you! What kind of coach are you pulling that Jeep with?
The safety Cable installation left a little to be desired. I'm not sure if I installed it as designed. The cables we're really long enough to go aroiund the frame rails on our Jeep, under the Radiator mount, Aluminum Frame, I was only able to go around the Raditor mount on both sides. Didn't really seam like it was the right way, but I suspect it's only for if something comes loose that there isn't a catastrophic breakaway.
