Looking For Conversion Kit For Mobile Home Axle

Question:

i need a conversion kit from mobile home wheels to regular wheels. i have a 3 axel trailer rated 21000lb, which have mobile home wheels, and i need to change to regular 8 bolt pattern wheels.

Hello Constantin, thanks for reaching out. It might be possible to get a hub for your mobile home axle. Keep in mind that mobile home axels are not designed to be re used, and they typically do not use standard bearing combinations like most trailer axles.

That said, I do not have a way to know what bearings your axles use, so you will need to provide some bearing numbers, or measure the part of the axle where the bearing and seal ride. Once we have that info we can look and see if any hubs are available. We see mobile axles from time to time and sometimes we have a bearing or two that matches but it is common to find there are no hubs that will fit. In these cases a new axle is needed.
