Can Two SumoSprings Install on Suspension Coils
Updated 09/02/2025 | Published 06/24/2025 >
Question:
Can I install two sumosprings on a coil? I admit to maxing my tongue weight, though I am trying not to. I don’t think the rear coils and struts on the ‘24 Subie Outback are very stiff. It squats about 2 degrees, and to be safe I keep my towing speed under 55 mph. I did buy one set last year, guess I should crawl under and make sure they are still in place.

Hey Jonathan, yes two would technically fit and we can't do anything to stop you from doing this but realistically the ride quality would probably be really harsh and if this was needed you'd probably be over the weight capacity of the vehicle. I would check the current Sumospring and see how it's doing.
