How Thick are the Bars on the etrailer Over-The-Cab Truck Ladder Rack e78FV?

Question:

I have a 2020 Ford Ranger XLT 5, Do the loops at the end of the ladder rack pass the tailgate when up? I ask because the truck barely fits in the garage. Also what is the thickness of the main bars.

Hey Ricardo. The loops on the end of the etrailer Over-The-Cab Truck Ladder Rack item # e78FV hang right over the tailgate on your 2020 Ford Ranger with the ladder rack installed. Depending on how you mount the rear uprights you can make sure they don't stick past the edge of your tailgate.

The crossbars or main bars are 2" thick. What are you planning on using this ladder rack for?

@Ricardo You're welcome. You may be able to squeeze the 36" Wide UWS Truck Tool Box item # UWS39YR in between the uprights but it's going to be extremely close. I recommend installing the etrailer Over-The-Cab Truck Ladder Rack item # e78FV first and seeing how much room you have between the uprights. The clamps that mount the legs to your Ranger's bedsides are not compatible with tool boxes.
