Recommended Replacement for VM9726BT

Unfortunately Jensen keeps discontinuing their stereos so at this time I don't have a good replacement for the VM9726BT. The only stereos we currently have wouldn't be touchscreen or have the compatibility with a camera system if you have one hooked to yours.

If you absolutely need a stereo and don't mind switching back to a standard stereo then I recommend going with the Jensen Mechless RV Stereo # JEN25RR. While it is annoying that Jensen swaps out stereos often I still prefer this brand over iRV as I get very few technical issues with Jensen. I've attached a short video below where I'll walk you through the installation process and show you it in use.

Can you provide removal instructions for the existing radio? I don't know how to remove the existing Jensen VM9726BT. Thank you for your efforts.

@DennisG The Jensen VM9726BT has a trim ring around the outer edge that you'll need to pop off first with either a small flat head screwdriver or trim panel tool # PT73HJ. Once removed you should be able to see a bracket on the left and right side of the unit which will have two screws to remove. Once removed you should be able to pull the stereo out of the dash and the brackets will have two more screws holding them to the sides of the stereo. From there you can disconnect the wire harness to fully separate the stereo from the RV.

My VM9726has suddenly started having distorted sound. I can't get subwoofer to adjust or even balance and fade. It sounds like the speakers are blown. Can you give me any idea what might have happened. I was driving and this suddenly occurred. Couldn't even listen to it. Any suggestions?

@FrankB Distortion typically means that the unit or speakers are being pushed past their capabilities. When it stopped working did you have the volume up loud or did you hit a bump in the road that shook the wiring loose? The easiest thing to start with would be checking all of your connections to make sure nothing came loose. From there you can test the voltage coming to stereo and your subwoofer and/or amplifier. The speakers could be blown but they could also just not be getting enough power to properly operate.
