Can this be used with my weight distribution system?

Good question, Dan.

Though there are options available that can be used with weight distribution systems (like the Roadmaster # RM-061), the etrailer # e38FV should not be used. The extreme loads that are associated with engaged weight distribution at the point where the collar interacts with the shank of the system are higher than what the collar is designed for and could lead to damage of the shank and or collar. So with that being said, if our collar is installed on your hitch, the gate needs to be backed off far enough so that it does not touch the shank when weight distribution is engaged.

On the other hand, if the load bars are not engaged (so basically using it as just a ball mount and not weight distribution), it can still be used.

What weight distribution system are you currently using?
