I have a Lance Camper Model 290 Year 9/1999 serial 96365018156 the water heater needs to be replaced it has a Atwood Mobile Product Model G6A-7P Spec 365089 Serial 96365018156 what options of replacement do you have. I would like to up grade to a auto pilot. thanks Jon

Hey Jon! The Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC39RR you were looking at is the best option to replace your Atwood G6A-7P. This has the same 6 gallon tank and the automatic pilot upgrade you're looking for. You will need to pick up a door as well. You can use # DMC24FR (black) or # DMC84FR (white).
Since you said options I'll give you a second one with the GE Profile RV Water Heater. This is gas/electric and also has a 6 gallon tank with auto pilot. We have the # GE47RR (black) and # GE67RR (white).
