Stay comfortable on the road with a 6-gallon water heater that fits your RV seamlessly. Quick heating, dual-fuel flexibility, and easy maintenance mean more time enjoying your journey and less time worrying about hot water.
Replacing a water heater can turn into a bigger project if the new unit doesn't match your existing setup. This model is built around standard RV dimensions, fitting a 12-3/4" x 12-3/4" cutout used by most 6-gallon water heaters. That means you're working with the space you already have instead of modifying cabinets or exterior openings just to make it fit.
Tank water heaters don't provide endless hot water since they store a set amount and then need time to recover. This 6-gallon system is sized for typical RV use, like a shower, washing dishes, or cleaning up. It works well for everyday tasks as long as you're not running multiple fixtures at once. After extended use, the tank needs time to heat back up before delivering another round of hot water.
Power availability changes from one campsite to the next, and this heater adapts to both. You can run propane when you're off-grid, switch to 120V electric when plugged in, or use both to speed up heating. The system uses 12V DC power for ignition and control, so it operates consistently alongside your RV's electrical system.
Once the tank is depleted, the system brings water back up to temperature before it's ready again. The 10,000 Btu burner handles that recovery cycle, reducing downtime between showers or other hot water needs.
Over time, water heaters deal with mineral buildup and corrosion, especially in varying water conditions. The porcelain enamel tank helps protect against wear, while the accessible anode rod makes routine maintenance straightforward. Staying on top of basic upkeep helps keep the system running reliably trip after trip.
Installation isn't just about the heater itself. It's also about having the right exterior and controls to run it. This heater includes a white access door and control switch, giving you the components needed to complete the install and operate gas, electric, or both heating modes without sourcing extra parts.

Replaced the original tankless heater with this. Best upgrade we made!
Quick response from order to delivery. The water heater arrived as scheduled and was nicely packaged preventing damage during shipping and handling. This will be a nice upgrade to our 5th wheel.
Fit standards space and was easy to install. Works well most of the time. Gas burner sometimes fails to start.
Hot water the way you're used to. We switched from a tankless to this tanked water heater for consistency, comfort, and convenience. With the 12 3/4" hole size it fit perfectly in the existing cut out. The door is just slightly too small to cover all the holes from the previous tankless as seen in the photos. The 26" depth was no problem for us as we had the room after adjusting a few plumbing lines. Install was straight forward as we had an extra breaker for a future dishwasher and the LP line was long enough. When attaching plumbing do yourself a favor and skip all the Teflon tapes and go straight for the anti-vibration quick dry pipe dope. The hot side drips ever so slightly when it gets to temperature with tapes. My pressure relief valve was dripping on the first 2 heat cycles where it attached at the tank and the relief valve itself was found to drip while heating several times, both have seemed to resolve on their own with use.
Dual fuel heating takes about 30 minutes to reach temp with colder water supply.
Electric draws 11.5a / 1500w and only took about 40 minutes to recover after a 10 minute shower. We found the times to be consistent with previous tanked heaters.
For us the ability to have hot water at any pressure or flow was well worth the change.
