2020 Ford Ranger Front Hitch Availability for a Bike Rack

Question:

Hello,, I am in need of a front mount trailer hitch for my Ford 2020 Ranger super cab. This is a four-wheel-drive model. I’m going to use the trailer hitch to carry bicycles and would not be using it for anything else. If you could suggest a hitch that would fit the front that would be great. If there’s something else that I could do to put my Thule bike carrier rack on the front without a trailer hitch that might even be better. I don’t suppose Ford has made any bolt holes that will lineup with your receiver. So I don’t really need something that’s super heavy duty and would perhaps like to save a little bit of money if there is a way to do that. Thank you so much for your assistance.

Hey James, thanks for reaching out!

I took a look at all of the fit listings from our manufacturers, but none of them have a custom fit front hitch for your 2020 Ford Ranger. This means the only way you'll be able to use a front hitch on your truck is if you have a shop fabricate one for you.

What all are you needing to carry at once with the truck? I might be able to help you find an alternative solution.

Two bicycles. I’ve recently become aware that the bikes need to hang low so they don’t interfere with my vision forward. Thanks for your advice. JimM

I didn’t clarify, the truck has a slide in camper. I’d like not to obstruct the rear entry to the camper. I know I could go that way and I was looking for alternatives.

@MaherJ Ah, I see - yeah that makes total sense, and in that case the front hitch receiver is definitely the way to go. Good luck in finding a shop to help you with it!
