Carry generators, coolers, and other bulky gear behind your RV with this bumper-mounted cargo carrier. You don't need a hitch to install it and you can fold up if you need a little extra space for parking.

Notes:
No matter how big your RV is you'll likely have gear you'd prefer not to store inside. This carrier lets you transport generators and fuel cans, so your storage compartments don't smell like gas. You can also strap coolers, luggage, and other bulky objects on it to free up space inside your RV. Lastly, it's great for carrying wet, dirty, or smelly items outside of the RV, keeping your interior clean and odor free. It has raised side rails that help prevent your gear from sliding off and provide multiple anchor points for a cargo net, bungee straps, or other tie-downs (sold separately).
Most RVs don't have hitches installed, so if you want to use a cargo carrier, you'd have to install a hitch receiver. However, this cargo carrier mounts on your RV's bumper, so you don't need a hitch to carry your gear. It's also designed to provide better load distribution across your bumper than a hitch-mounted carrier.
When the carrier is not being used, you can fold it up against the back of your RV. This is convenient if you need a little extra space at the campsite, if you're travelling but not carrying any gear at the time, or if you're parking close to a fence, a shed, or a garage. To fold the basket up, just remove the snapper pin from each arm assembly, fold the rack up toward your vehicle, then reinsert the pins through the holes in the top of the mounting brackets.
The carrier is easy to install. Just slide the mounting brackets over your RV's bumper, spacing them 17-5/8" apart (inside edge to inside edge), and secure them with the included M10 hex bolts. Attach the main arm assemblies to the mounting brackets with the included M16 hex bolts. Attach the basket to the main arm assemblies with the included M8 carriage bolts. The included support brackets mount to most RV frames to reinforce your bumper and prevent metal fatigue that can cause your bumper to detach.

So far so good traveled a few hundred miles with it holding up well no issues. Was a little confusing with all the extra parts and some of them did not even go with the carrier. I’m using it to carry my generator three extra bottles of propane and my mountain bike.
Easy to mount finished it in a couple of hours.
Shipping was good. I like etrailer communication system.
Except……
QC is poor. Missed 4 holes. So I had to drill them out. And also one of sleeve was missing. So I had to make new sleeve joint as well.
But etrailer is not manufacture. If I’m right.
Product quality is 1 star but etrailer company is 5star.
This is a great rack. I bought it for our 3500 watt generator, but bought the larger rack so we can store more items along side it. Well built product.
There was a small issue with incorrect bolts for the extra bumper supports included, and Amy at etrailer took care of it promptly!
Will buy from etrailer again.
We have had this rack for a year. The first issue was that the brackets didn't fit around our 4" bumper. Our bumper was partially under the RV without the clearance to slide the bracket on. So we had to grind down the pins that hold the rack up to get it onto our bumper. Then we had about 250lbs on the rack when the bouncing of the road caused the rear bumper to break off the trailer. Not really the fault of the rack, it stayed together, but our Grand Design Imagine Trailer bumper was obviously not able to hold the weight like it is rated to hold. So we had to have an entirely new bumper welded onto the trailer. We moved it back, but now don't have the pin slots to hold it up.
Overall it is a good rack, you just have to be sure that it will work with your trailer. In our case there wasn't anything that said it wouldn't work, but you learn by people honking as they drive around you to let you know your rack is dragging the ground...
missing a bunch of parts including the most important c clamps that mount to the bumper.
On July 27th I order e83YR 24x64 folding cargo carrier. Thanks to Jon G. Who provided the dimensions and spacing of the support arms . I was able to determine it would work on my Jayco trailer. The rack (in 2 boxes as expected) arrived n 2 days. Thank you UPS. Due to the extreme heat. I unboxed 1 box at a time . Inventoried everything. Nothing was missing. Did a loose assembly. Everything fit perfectly. Installed the e88ZR bumper supports that came with the rack. The "Trilobular threadforming" screws are NOT threadforming. No problem. Got the proper size tap and threaded the holes. Oh yes after stepping up the bit size . The excluded bit had no trouble finishing off the 6 holes to the proper size. Rack was very easy to install. Good fit and finish. Thank you again Jon G. And George J. I would recommend this rack and etrailer.
Great product!
Went together easy works and looks great will hold three bicycles. Very stable and folds up easily. Would buy again
Purchased a 24x64 Cargo Carrier for the rear bumper of our camper. Even with free "economy" shipping, it still arrived within just a few days. Installation requires basic tools and is pretty simple with the instructions provided. This will provide a nice place to carry a cooler or generator on our adventures!
Works exactly as it was described.
Perfect for for our BBQ and generator.
Probably won't purchase through this company again. I gave the information on my model of RV and recieved the hardware. I found the "bumper supports" poor quality as the "self threading" screws provided did not work. Even worse the brackets which were supplied with the unit would not fit over my bumper. After discussion with this company they came to the conclusion what they provided would not work and they offered to pay half of the cost of return the items. This is ridiculous as they are the ones who told me it would work on my vehicle. Totally unacceptable they were unwilling to pay all costs for the return. I took the brackets to a shop and had them bent just enough so I could get them over the bumper and finished the installation. I would never trust them again to honor thier word that an item will work on my RV or vehicle.
Already starting to rust in spots
Price was right and delivery was quick! Customer service was A+ and answered questions quickly and thoroughly.
Haven't even installed it yet. You're thinking 'What? And this guys submitted a review'? Yep
This is the third time I've purchased this cargo carrier from etrailer and from experience, this is the best rear bumper cargo carrier you'll find.
It is SOLID and has unlimited options for tie down points.
The construction quality is excellent and installation was easy.
Just unpackaged my third purchase today and immediately noticed the same durable finish and high quality as my prior two purchases. All the mounting hardware includes grade 5 zinc plated bolts and Nylock nuts. Also included is the RV Bumper Support kit.
I have experienced rust on zinc plated hardware on the prior units after a couple of years and will be considering converting to stainless steel or some other protective measure.
Most RV rear bumpers are only rated for 300 lbs. Depending on the size rack you choose, it can be heavy itself. Remember to consider the weight of this rack in addition to your load.
Another great feature is the fold-up, it's awesome and locks solidly in place. But in order to fold this unit up, your rear bumper needs to be protruding all the way out beyond the back wall of the RV body. The rear bumper on our previous Keystone Cougar was recessed under the body by about 1" which not only would've prevented the ability to fold this unit, it also would've been impossible to install the mounting brackets. I fixed that issue by doing a bit of metal work with a Miller Mig and converted the 4” box 14 gauge .080 wall thickness to 1/8” wall thick box for a very solid rear bumper.
Checking the tongue weight with a Sherline Tongue scale still showed better than a 60/40 load ratio for our model.
This Cargo Carrier has already started rusting, not happy with the amount of time, less than a year!
Great Rear Rack for my RV , Quick delivery, Product was Easy to assemble !

Product is awesome customer service needs improvement, when a parcel sent back and they ask if you want them to resend lol
The trailer fit our bumper perfectly and was a major improvement in both height and stability over our old hitch-mounted carrier :-).

Excellent…much more stable than your run-of-the-mill cargo carrier ??
Works great. I have used it for two years now, no issues. We have done two very long road trips with some highway bouncing and there remains no flexing or bending of the bumper or rack. The rack has worked great!

That's awesome! Any trips coming up?
About 1 hrs to assemble. Easy to figure what's what after laying it out and for the bolts. Can be done by one person just pin it in the stowed position and put mounting bolts in. Support brakes take time the most for bumper. Otherwise I am pleased. It's not hard just lining up brakes and drilling holes.
I bought 24"×64"bumper carrier rack a year ago. It has been working very well with no issues. I think we'll built and easy to install. I did install an extra support bracket on each side to sandwich the frame and add support to the bumper. I also add a piece of sheet metal that bolts on for my generator to sit on.I have recommended this rack to friends.
After a few false starts, I found the etrailer cargo carrier. It was easy to install and worked perfectly.

I converted it into an ebike rack and it worked perfectly...strong and stable

This rack is stout! I've mounted a 10k watt inverter generator to it, along with welding a custom bumper on which to mount the etrailer rack... & it is absolutely rock-solid.
The build quality of the etrailer cargo carrier is top-notch. I highly recommend it!

That looks like an awesome van! Will you be slinging some hotdogs from that countertop window?

The product has held up fantastic. I use it for our generator, and BBQ storage. It also doubles as a BBQ table for grillling.
