Hello Andt, thanks for reaching out. We do have weight distribution hitches that can be used on surge brake trailers. For example, the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET is surge brake compatible.
The main thing to consider here is the weight of your trailer, more specifically the loaded tongue weight. Each weight distribution system has a range on tongue weights it will work with. The # EQ37060ET I mentioned is for trailers with a tongue weight between 200 and 600 lbs.
What trailer do you have? Do you know the GVWR and/or the loaded tongue weight?
Hit the reply button and let me know. I am happy to look into it and make a recommendation.
