Question:
I have a 2025 Chevy 2500HD with a PJ flat bed with built in tool boxes. My hitch ball is recessed in center of the bed under a door, it’s welded in from factory. Which hitch would work best to convert to a fifth wheel? Camper weighs 14,000 dry weight.

Hey Johnnie thanks for the pictures! I have a couple of options but it's going to depend on the size of your well and if you're able to remove that door. I have listed them below:
The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball item # DM8550046 is going to be the best option. It will connect directly to the ball and has a 21,000 lbs capacity. Your recessed well has to be at least 8" long x 5" wide and no wider than the base of the hitch, which is measures 22" x 22". Additionally, the top of the gooseneck ball must be 13/16" or closer to the top of the truck bed.
My only other option is an adapter like the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter item # CAB-C5G. This converts your trailer's kingpin to a gooseneck coupler.
What are the dimensions of your recessed well and what kind of pin box does your 5th wheel trailer have?

Hey Johnnie, did you have a chance to check the dimensions of your recessed well and the type of pin box on your trailer? I'm asking because it could help others in a similar situation.
