Question:

I have a CM ER truck bed with a trough 4in deep and18in wide.The top of the ball is about 1 - 1 1/16 to the top of the bed. will the demco dm8550046 work for this application? If not , do you have one that will work? it is a 2 5/16 ball that is welded in.

The base on the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball part # DM8550046 is too wide to fit down into the trough you have on your Cm Truck Bed. It should make full contact at the base so it is not the best idea.

Instead the B&W Companion Flatbed Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter part # BWRVK3050 is designed to fit into the 18" recessed area and will connect to the B&B Gooseneck that comes with your CM Truck Bed.

Randy i have a CM ER Skirted flatbed on my 2022 F350. The ball is welded into the bed and isn’t a B&W turnover. What do i use for my fifth wheel?

@IsaacL Isaac, as long as the top of your Gooseneck ball is 13/16" or closer to the top of the truck bed you can use the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter for Recessed Ball # DM8550046. If not, let me know what you have and I'll be happy to see what we have.
