Features to know about

Cut Down on Sway and Noise: High-Impact Polyurethane Contact Pads

When your suspension flexes under load, the last thing you want is a noisy, unstable ride. These SuperSprings SuperSway Stops use high-impact polyurethane contact pads that take up slack between your overload leaf springs and frame, reducing sway and eliminating clunks. Each pad cushions contact to smooth out bumps and keep your truck feeling stable and quiet on the road.

Steadier Handling Under Load: Optional Spacer Adds Preload

Heavy loads can make your suspension feel loose before the overloads engage. The optional spacer included with the SuperSway Stops increases preload on the overload springs so they come into play sooner. That means steadier handling, less body roll, and better control when hauling or towing heavy gear.

Simple Bolt-On Setup: Maintenance-Free Design

Installing extra stability shouldn’t be complicated. These pads bolt on using the included hardware—no air lines or upkeep needed. Once installed, they work automatically with your existing top overload leaf springs to engage when weight is applied and stay out of the way when unloaded. The maintenance-free polyurethane construction handles weather, grime, and road abuse without cracking or deteriorating.

Reliable Support for the Long Haul: 4-Pad Kit with Lifetime Warranty

The set includes 4 pads (2 per side) that replace factory contact pads or bump stops on both sides of your rear suspension. Each pad is built to last and comes backed by a limited lifetime warranty and a 30-day satisfaction guarantee, giving you confidence that your suspension upgrade will perform trip after trip without needing attention.

Video Transcript for Checking Out the SuperSprings SuperSway Stops

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Supersprings Supersway Stops. All you have to do is put your vehicles information in our fit guide on our website and that's gonna get you partnered up with the right kit for your specific vehicle. What the Supersway Stops does is it lowers this little point to where we're gonna activate our overload springs a lot sooner. As you can see, it's definitely a lot bigger than the one that came on here from the factory. So this is just an easy way just to kind of, keep your suspension all working together. Because before I didn't really have a whole lot of weight on here and my overload springs weren't getting activated.

Like I literally wasn't. So this is just going to do a lot of different things for your ride quality. One, it's gonna help prevent porpoising which what that is, whenever you're going down the road and you hit like a speed bump or something, it feels like you're in the back of a bus or you're kind of just sitting there like this and your truck takes a little bit of time to kind of correct. Also with body roll. When we have an extra leaf spring that's doing a little bit more work sooner.

It's gonna kind of feel a little bit more stable whenever you're hauling heavier loads and turning around. And it's also just going to keep some of those uneven terrains, whenever you're hitting potholes and stuff, it's gonna kind of correct and keep your trailer in line with you. So it's gonna give you a little bit more peace of mind whenever you're traveling down the road with a heavy load or something behind your truck. Even without a load on here, we still have the overload springs already hitting our extra little bumpers here. And this is gonna be really, really nice just because having that already there, our back suspension's going to react a little bit quicker.

So if you are hauling a trailer and sometimes it gets a little bit off center, your suspension's gonna kind of correct that. And since we have it activating the overload spring a little bit sooner, it's gonna keep that trailer a little bit closer and centered behind your truck, which is gonna be a lot smoother and a lot less stressful whenever you're driving. These are also gonna be necessary if you do install airbags on your pickup. Why Well, when you install airbags, we're gonna increase the distance between these factory mounts and our overload spring. So when we increase the distance this isn't really gonna make contact at all.

So your bottom three leaf springs are gonna do, be doing all the work. So I would highly recommend grabbing these if you have airbags on your truck already, or if you plan on getting them, it's really something you need. Notice how we have different sections here. So comparing these to the torque lift options we have on our website. The torque lift's only gonna have one solid piece. If we don't really think we're gonna need all of the sections here, we can take out the middle section to bring it up a little bit closer. So I would definitely say this would be an upgrade to the torque lift, just because we do have that adjustment here and it is made of a high impact polypropylene material. So it's gonna be extra strong. It's not gonna crack or break over time. Comes with all the hardware that you need. All you really have is just the actual piece itself. And then some, a washer and a nut. You just need a wrench to tighten it down. Did not take me a whole lot of time at all. There's one on the back right here and then one on the front and there's gonna be two on the other side as well. So it's really, really simple, really easy. And I think it's just a very quick and simple way just to improve your ride quality. So even as he starts to just lower this down, you realize how much the suspension is sagging. It's definitely a lot but activating those overload springs sooner is really gonna make the world of difference. Oh wow. Even on that first bump, I can 100% tell the suspension just seems stiffer, more responsive. It's bouncing around a lot less. Definitely an improvement. And that'll do it for a look at the Supersprings Supersway Stops..

Works perfectly as intended.

They did not fit my 2006 Ford F250 XLT long bed 6.0 diesel. I’m really upset, as my rear suspension has no room for them between the leaf springs and frame in the rear. I had waited a couple months to put them in so I didn’t try to return them. Still, $[XX] for something that doesn’t work, as opposed to what the item listing described. Very not happy with etrailer now. The front ones went on, but one side is offset to the suspension member, and just yesterday on a big bump it slipped off the member. They don’t fit properly, front or rear, and between the two it was over $[XX] with shipping. What a ripoff. And, the photos won’t upload! Well except for the ones that don’t show the problems. Must be a very clever bit of software that recognizes photos that show the defective product and won’t accept them.

Hmm, these are confirmed to fit your vehicle so I am very surprised to hear they fell of just from hitting a bump on the road! I reached out to the manufacturer and they were asking if you could send photos of where everything is installed and how things are situated.

by:

Ordered these for my 2022 Ford F-350 and, while torquing as directed to 40 ft. lbs., the first bolt snapped in half at just 32 lb ft. I called customer service and spoke to Nicole who sent me a new one right away. All installed with no more problems (although I only torqued to 30 lb ft because I feel 40 is a bit too much). Great product and even greater customer service.

by:

Easy to install. Engages the overload springs much quicker and keeps the truck much closer to level.

SuperSway Stops still working great. I use my truck camper a good bit and also pull a gooseneck trailer moving equipment once or twice a week. All good.

@David Nice! Is ride quality still good?

by:

Replace my crumbled Torklift overload stops with these and I’m extremely pleased.

by:

Well made quality product and fits perfectly in place of my TorkLift single piece units. The TorkLift stops (all four) completely failed after ten years of use. The rubber/urethane completely disintegrated. Hopefully this product from SuperSprings will last longer.

by:

Installed these in preparation for switching from a bumper pull to a fiver.

Hardest part of installation was removing stock parts. I installed them without the provided one inch spacers.

Felt a huge difference towing the bumper pull to the dealer to pick up the fiver.

by:

Still installed and still helping with heavy loads.

by:

Made my truck ride extremely harsh when carrying my camper.

by:

They do the job of preloading the overload springs but are very noisy the material they are made from is extremely hard and you get a loud bumping noise at every hole you hit, and your ride is comprised which is to be expected, I have had them on a few days and I’m not sure I will keep them on for long term

by:

You do what you say you are gonna do.

by:

Easy to install. I think they are better than the OEM originals. No jacking required for my rig. Took about an hour to install. Fit my Ford F-350 Super Duty

I have a Ford 350 with a Northern Lite 10-2 on it. I think the kit is performing well. I have stability and zero squat

by:

They work great but they are noisy when engaged the overload spring. I purchased silicone grease from Napa (used for rubber bushings) and coated the surface to stop the noise. Otherwise, they are an easy to install item that does the job.

by:

Adding SuperSay Stops to my F350 reduced the rear drop significantly when loading my 5th wheel RV, and greatly improved the towing experience. I did not go with airbags like I did on our previous truck because I feel like it unloads the suspension and adds point loading (stress) to the frame. They also don't change the comfort of our day to day driving however; they do occasionally make a sound when hitting a significant bump, but I can live with that. I would highly recommend these instead of airbags.

by:

The Super Sway Stops will probably work very well when loaded. The issue is when the truck is unloaded. They hit the overloaded springs with each bump and cause the truck to ride very rough. Today, I removed the product and took out the spacer and reinstalled them. Now, there is just enough gap to ride smoothly over bumps using the OEM suspension. Once the truck is loaded with the 5th wheel, it the super sways will do a great job.

by:

They worked fine until I hit some rough road. The bolts on the rear stops broke and the stops fell out, leaving just the front ones. Since they are no longer sold, I'm switching to TorkLift StableLoads.

by:

Install is super easy and quick. Took about 30 min total for install. I can tell some thought went into this products design by the way the SuperSway Stops fit the factory bump stop perch cradle and how they contact the springs, unlike the competitors overpriced option.
I’m hauling a 3300 pound (dry) camper in a 2022 F350 CCLB DRW with camper package. Factory upper overload bump stops weren’t engaging soon enough causing some sway and sagging about an inch over the rear tires. After installing the SuperSway Stops the bump stops now engage taking most of away and rocking out. I also gained 1.5 inch in height over rear tires so truck now sits higher in back. These are the only suspension upgrades I’ve done. I would highly recommend.

Super sway stops are still holding up after a years very well. I’ve modded them by cutting a slot in the spacer to be able to take spacer outor install by just loosening the nut on cradle.

by:

I bought this thinking they would be enough to tow my 5th wheel without any squat. They do what they are supposed to do. However, The truck handles miserably when they're engaged. The overload springs are designed to be stiffer than the leaves and they are. The truck while hauling the fifth wheel bounces up off the overloads and then slams back down on them when road oscillations get bad. I have since installed airbag helper springs and use them almost exclusively. These SuperSway stops are used as a backup if I don't have air or I forget to air up.

by:

2022 F350 FX4 dually with 2024 Host Mammoth slide in camper. I installed with the 1” spacer included with the kit. I did not get as much rear end lift as I was hoping. But the upper overload definitely engaged quicker when truck is loaded with camper. I haven’t road tested setup yet, but should help with sway in conjunction with the already installed Timbrens. The hardest part of the install is removal of the factory rubber stops (as others have stated as well). The easiest tool I found was a pair of needle nose pliers. Insert ends on either side of the rubber wedge between the bracket and stop and use a lever action to pry out the end. The end then came right out. I also used a c-clamp, but the pliers worked more easily and quicker. Just by sight, the upper overload engaging sooner appears to have unloaded the lower leaf spring pack a small amount, but I have no direct measurements to prove that.

Glad to hear they are working well for you, Andrew! Looks like you are all set for fun adventuress as well! ^___^ Where was that picture taken? Looks like quite the place to visit!

by:

These I wasn't so sure about, but I'm glad I installed. I've used airbags before and felt like I was in a baby cradle. My dually has upper overload springs so didn't need the middle insert. Even with it out, I still made contact with the spring but barely when empty. A couple pounds of air in the bags raised it off a quarter inch which is enough. Took first trip out this week with new truck camper and towing boat with the new airbag/swaystops setup. They handled the load superbly, sway was minimal and I can probably dial that in a bit but it road pretty nice as is. I ran 60 pounds of air which with the swaystops was enough to level the truck and keep contact between the swaystops and springs. On both asphalt with wind and dirt road with washboard, ride just put a big grin on my face. I'm easily amused. From what I've read and from conversations with both etrailer and SuperSpring folks, not really recommended as standalones without airbags as the ride is going to suffer. Can't say yay or nay to that, didn't try, but with air bags, they definitely work WITH the bags for an optimum ride. Install was quick and straight forward also.

by:

When these are in place with the truck unloaded they are an absolutely horrible ride. I combined these with a set of timbrens. They do support the load better but my family couldn’t take the ride unloaded. I took out one of the spacers on each and the ride improved dramatically, but did not support the load as well. We ordered a set of air bags, but we haven’t put them in yet. We’ll see how that goes.

Timbrens and other dense rubber suspension enhancement springs can cause a pretty rough ride when unloaded. Air bags are cushioning so they don't effect the ride as much but still prevent sag so you made the right decision. Which air bags did you go with? Let me know if you have any questions when you install them. I can help.

by:

eTrailer is the best! Received the SuperSprings Suoersway Stops very quickly. They are very easy to install. Picking up my truck camper tomorrow to try them out. Based on the reviews, I’d expect them to perform as described.

by:

Fit like a glove on a Ford 350 Easy i nstallation

by:

The first side was a huge pain in the ass. That little bumper was the hardest part. I tried screw drivers, pry bar things, vise grips, wd40, looked up on the net. Finally dug into my junk metal bin and found a suitable piece to work with. I used the metal chop saw, from Trevor, and cut a slot as you can see. Finally got the sobs out.
Flash forward after supper. Learning curve done. Next side went better than I expected. ?? oh ya had to take the wheels off too to get at it.
Didn’t unload the camper.
My hands etc are sore and I have a cold. ??
Done for the day. I have done a test drive now that they are installed. I like the results, ride is much better. I gained about 2" back from the sag. Will have to see if the headlight aim is better at night. I'm optimistic. :-)

Fist bump on getting the old bump stops off! I'm pretty optimistic too that your headlights will have better aim. I also hope you are feeling better from your cold, Brad. And when you say, you didn't unload the camper, did you install these with an in bed camper still in your truck?

Brad

@GwendolynY Yes, I left the camper loaded. Just jacked it up to get better access with the wheels off. I also have Sumos installed and these work well together. Much more comfortable ride and controllable ride. :-)
