Does GMC Sierra 2500 Need Electric or Friction Sway Control

I have a 17 ft travel trailer max loaded weight 4750 lbs. which it never be at max weight, I tow it with a GMC 2500 HD truck, my question is would I benefit more with a sway friction bar or with a electronic sway control

Hey Ed, either will offer benefits but an electric sway control unit like the Curt True Course part # C94VV is going to provide the best sway control for basically any truck and trailer since it proactively works to detect the slightest bit of sway and stop it before you notice it. That said it does cost more...
Now friction sway control like the part # 17200 will do a great job at minimizing sway and for most people does a perfectly good job but it is one more thing to remove and install every time you tow. It also costs a lot less so it really comes down to if you want to pay for the best or not.
