1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Now this 15 inch by six inch black spoke steel wheel combines strength, simplicity and style for dependable towing performance. This is designed with beveled stud holes that are going to seat securely against your hub, keeping the lug nuts tight and reducing the need for re-tightening after long trips. The cutout spokes and black powder coat finish are going to work together to create a traditional trailer look. It's a style that stays sharp and it blends well across a wide range of trailers.
So the diameter of our wheel measuring beat seat to beat seat is 15 inches. The width is six inches, so perfect size for trailers needing a 15 inch wheel set up. Our bolt pattern is six on five and a half inches. It's a common six lug fitment for straightforward upgrades. And in case you don't know, the first number of the bolt pattern is the number of bolt holes, but the second number is the diameter in inches of the circle on which our bolt holes sit.
So to measure a bolt pattern with even number of bolt holes as we have here, you simply measure from the center of one bolt hole to the center of the bolt hole directly across from the first. So this is going to be a durable steel construction, tough enough for daily use and long hauls. And the wheel stud size is a half an inch by 20. This does not come with the center cap, but if you decide to pick one up, you just want to make sure that it fits the pilot diameter of 4.29 inches. And this does have a load rating of 2,830 pounds.
