Will Curt AUX LED Trailer Taillight Kit C53201 Require Load Resistors
Updated 04/10/2025 | Published 04/08/2025 >
Question:
Greetings— we just purchased Curt Auxiliary LED Indicator Lights. We have a 2021 Mercedes Metrisand have tried LED lights in the past but had hyperflash and warnings messages with turn signals . Will we have the same problem with this product? If so should we purchase an in line resistor and which resistor would you recommend? Also I assume I would need one resistor per light? Thanks

Hey Barb, since the Curt Aux LED Light Indicator part # C53201 plugs into trailer wiring and does not tie into or replace your vehicle taillights you wouldn't have any hyperflashing issues or have to install any load resistors.

Thanks for the response. I should have been clearer in my question. We are using these led lights on a bike rack and plugging into our vehicle lights . So would I need to wire in a resistor to each light? And if so what size resistor would you recommend? Thanks again
