Question:
Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller vs P2 Prodigy I have a 2024 Kia Sportage Hybrid Regen SX with a 4 pole already installed. What is the difference between P2 and P3? P2 shows as compatible for my car but P3 doesnt seem validated as compatible. Is P3 compatible? Also I saw that to go from 4 pole to 7 pole the following would be needed: ETBC7 And a trailer break is this correct? Thank you.

Hey Clara, thank you for reaching out!
Yes, both the Tekonsha Prodigy P # 90885 and P3 # 90195 brake controllers are compatible with your 2024 Kia Sportage. The only real difference between the two is the P3 has an LCD screen that makes navigating the settings and menus easier than the P2. We actually have a comprehensive video breaking down these 2 controllers so I'll link that for you to reference as well.
Since your Kia is already equipped with a 4-Way, the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 is what you'll need to have all of the connections for a fully-functional brake controller.
Is there anything else you're needing to pick up prior to towing a trailer with your Sportage?

Hey Clara, how did things go with the Prodigy brake controller on your Sportage? Did the P3’s display make it easier to adjust your settings once everything was connected with the ETBC7 kit? Your update could make it easier for others setting up a similar hybrid.
