Hey Lisa! Ball mounts can vary depending on your needs and what trailer you're towing. However, the etrailer Ball Mount w/ Pre-Torqued 2" Ball # e67DR will be a good all-around option for your 2018 Subaru Outback. This has a 2" drop and includes a hitch pin and clip to keep it secure. How did you lose your ball mount? If it walked off with someone else you may want to add a hitch lock like # e98881 as well.
