Question:

Hi Im looking to add wiring harness 118265 to myb2014 honda pilot. I would also like to add an electric brake control and wondered what is the best option before purchasing 118265. Thanks

Hey Mike, the 7-way kit part # 118265 does fit your 2014 Honda Pilot to provide it with a functional 7-way but it does not come with the brake controller install port you'd need for a brake controller. So you can hardwire in a brake controller or have a Honda dealer install one for you so that you could use a # 3070-P to install a brake controller like the P2 part # 90885.

If you'd prefer to hardwire let me know and I'll walk you through that process as well.

Thanks for the great reply. If the electric brake is a whole seperate purchase/install, can I install #118265 now then install the electric brake setup at a later time with no issue? I'd love to see how involved the hardwiring is before I committ to doing it myself. Thanks again

@Mike Yes you can absolutely do that. There's no reason or advantage to doing both at same time so if you wanted to just the 7-way now you are totally fine to do so.
