Hi everybody, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking together at this tow smart plugin trailer connector adapter with included wire tester for the four-way, and it is a seven blade to four-way flat adapter. So folks, again, this will allow you to plug into your seven-way connector that's on the back of your vehicle. And then it has a built-in tester, but you can pull that off so the dust cover doubles as a tester, and then you can put your four-way or four pole right in here and then use your trailer that has that smaller trailer connector. Now this is gonna be great if you're borrowing someone's trailer and you don't have that connector and you need it. So that's an option there.
Now, I do wanna show you this in action. So I do have a little test box today that I'm gonna pull out here and that we're gonna use together. So this will simulate a trailer for us. So basically we're plugging into our seven way connection and this up here is gonna catch onto the cap of the plug. So now it's not gonna very easily wiggle free or anything like that.
So we have the seven blade to four-way in there. Now we're closing the cap here. All right, so I'm gonna go ahead and spin this around. That way we can show you the test lights here. So taillights and then left turn, brakes, that's all working, right turn.
And then we don't have electric brake and we don't have auxiliary power. And then we don't have backup either. So on this particular one we have the right hand, brakes, left hand, and then your tail or running lights. So as we can see everything on this particular trailer, which isn't really a trailer, tested out and is working correctly. So now we know we can safely go down the road and be safe and legal.
Folks that is gonna wrap it up for our look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.
This product works as described. However, it doesn’t seem to sit tightly into the hitch connection. I was expecting a little more snug connection.
It works great as described...a little pricey but like all I have purchased from etrailer very high quality and works perfectly.
