How to Raise Height of 4-Bike Rack on a 2024 Hyundai Palisade

Hello. I have your 2 inch e-trailer hitch installed under my 2024 Hyundai Palisade. All good but the 4 bike rack I use sometimes bottoms out on the road. Do you have a hitch riser for the 2 inch e-trailer hitch? Are those generally safe to use for bike racks? Thank you.

Thank you for your purchase of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13427 for your 2024 Hyundai Palisade!

When it comes to an adapter that increases the height of the bike rack, generally bike rack manufacturers don't like them being used, but there are some exceptions depending on the bike rack. For example, the Thule Hitch Extender # TH55JV extends and raises the height of your bike rack, but Thule is really the only one who says it's okay to use this product.

@Edward Thanks for the reply! Is it the whole NV 2.0 Rack # NV22B-NA22B that is bottoming out, or is it more like the bike repair stand is the part making the contact?

Hi Jon: It is only the very back end of the rack that we think sometimes taps the ground when going up semi-steep driveways or bumpy and unpaved entrances to forest parking lots. No issue on regular paved roads and highways. When we use the rack, which is heavy and extends far beyond the SUV, we usually have everyone and their gear in the SUV so there is some sag at the rear of the SUV, even though it is supposed to have self-leveling shocks. @Edward Thanks for the info! So, if you took the bike repair stand off, do you think you would pretty much be clean and free for the most part? The other thing to consider is that if your Palisade is squatting then you can add the Coil SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs # CSS-1145F for suspension help, which would then ultimately help maintain the height of your vehicle and take care of the issue altogether.

@Edward For the Yakima FullTilt # Y02463 I like the Thule option I mentioned above, part # TH55JV, especially if things are just barely touching the ground.
