Question:
Hello, I have a 2025 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Line and am trying to get the best hitch to install. I watched the video for this install and it doesnt involve cutting the trim at all. I like this option, but wonder if there are any negatives to this particular hitch over the etrailer one. I appreciate the assistance.

Hey Ryan. The lack of trimming on the B&W Trailer Hitch item # BW82PR compared to the etrailer item # e45ZR does come with a bit of a trade off. The receiver for the B&W item # BW82PR sits lower when installed on your 2025 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Line.
The reason the etrailer item # e45ZR requires that cut on the bottom of your Kia's fascia is because the top of the receiver sits 15-1/2" above the ground. We haven't had a chance to install the B&W item # BW82PR on a 2025 Telluride but you're going to give up at least 2" in ground clearance by not making that cut.
I recommend installing our etrailer Hitch item # e45ZR on your 2025 Kia Telluride SX-Prestige X-Line. You'll appreciate the extra ground clearance if you're ever driving on a steep incline.
What do you plan on using a hitch for?

Thanks for the answer Jerred! I will only be using with a cargo carrier, or bike rack. Mostly it would be on regular roads, with the odd rough Vermont driveway being the most off-roading adjacent. It is definitely a tricky decision. My brother-in-law has a regular hitch on his 2021 where he had to notch the fascia and it looks perfectly fine.
