Does Install of Roadmaster Sway Bar on 2015 FOrd F-250 Super Duty Require Drilling

Published 01/28/2025

Question:

Hey Conner, Hoping you can clear up some confusion about drop link installation. I had a live chat withe trailer earlier today and was told I would have to drill holes to install the drop link kit on my 2015 Ford F250 Superduty 4WD Diesel. Reading your post above it was the impression that no holes needed to be drilled and was the reason I purchased the sway bar and drop links. I've spent a lot of time on internet trying to confirm or find insulation instructions specifically for the drop links without much success? Thanks

Hey Mike, so I went over the install instructions for the Roadmaster sway bar part # RM-1139-173-00 and there isn't drilling required to install the bar at all if the truck has a factory sway bar. If there is no sway bar present from the factory you will need to enlarge holes in the Roadmaster sway bar so that you can use the endlink kit part # RM-590170-00 to mount it in your vehicle. Does that clear up the confusion? Does your truck have a factory sway bar?

My truck does not have the factory sway bar. The Roadmaster instructions are terrible and do not specifically address the end link installation. I could not find an etrailer video either clearly showing the drop link installation. Thanks

@Mike Sorry about that. I wish we had better resources for this install too. Did you watch the attached install video? https://www.etrailer.com/tv-install-roadmaster-anti-sway-bar-2015-ford-f-350-rm-1139-173-00.aspx
