Specs:
The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its rear axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.
Superior Construction
The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

Minimize sway and driver fatigue by improving the stability and driveability of your vehicle. The bar on this sturdy, effective anti-sway system mounts to the rear axle and frame to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. Includes end link kit.I have a 2017 Ford F350 Super Duty SRW, and we haul a heavy truck camper (Lance 1055.) I have Stable Load Uppers and HD airbags, but wanted to add a sway bar to add that extra layer of control, even though my truck has handled the camper well over the last 2 years and 10,000 miles. My truck did not come with an OEM sway bar installed, so I needed this kit that included the End Links too.
The Roadmaster Rear Sway Bar and End Links sold on etrailer are top quality products. They are robust and well made, with quality hardware to match. The product deserves a 5-star, and even unloaded, my truck handling improved right after installation, with improved cornering and no real impact on ride quality in my opinion. I have not yet loaded up our camper or towed our boat, but I have no doubt this sway bar will substantially reduce sway and will improve control and handling when the camper is loaded.
So why 4 stars and not 5?
1. I researched this product and the installation in detail. I planned on installing it myself and expected to find plenty of detail on etrailer's site, or Roadmaster's site, or the internet. My most pressing question was about where to mount the end links, and the orientation of the sway bar arms since I wouldn't be using the OEM end links. That information was no where to be found on the etrailer site, Roadmaster's site, or in any installation manuals. For a product and supplier that has likely sold lots of these to Ford Super Duty owners, I was surprised to find how little info was out there. The installation video on the etrailer site was helpful, but did not include any information for the end links, as they had a 2015 Super Duty and used the OEM end links already installed. I contacted etrailer and they told me to contact Roadmaster for more info on where to locate the end links with this kit.
2. I contacted Roadmaster. They told me they had no instructions and that despite my truck already having the cut-outs for the OEM bracket that attaches the OEM end links to the frame, that none of those holes may work for me. So they suggested I connect the sway bar brackets to the axle first and then see where the arms would line up with the end links. The tech also suggested that it wasn't critical that the end links were perpendicular
to the frame, but that I should try install the end links to allow the arm of the sway bar to hand as close to parallel as possible. No bueno. When I installed this the 14" end links (center hole to center hole) didn't allow for the arms to hang parallel to the frame. And I don't think it matters as the orientation of my sway bar and the arms looks about like every video or picture I could find on the internet of this year/model truck and this sway bar kit. It seems to function fine.
3. Installing it was a bear, especially the way they instructed me to. And I had to make some modifications to fit my truck, as the sway bar arms were rubbing up against my airbag mounting brackets. I got it installed, but the thin instructions turned what should have been a 60 minute job into 2 1/2 hours. A bit frustrating.
All in all, this will do the job intended and will provide me with peace of mind next time we load our camper. I am a bit frustrated that there were zero installation instructions specific to my year/make/model of truck given it did not have an OEM sway bar and the end links had to be installed with a bit of guesswork. You will also note in my pictures that I had to mount the end links to the sway bar arms differently on each side to make the bar fit around my air bag mounts.
With about 600 miles pulling the RV, we are mildly impressed with how well our three-quarter ton tracks down the highway while pulling the RV. Well worth the upgrade.
However, etrailer needs a video on adding the hangers. There are no instructions that come with the kit that cover the hangers. The hangers have different size bolts, the shorter ones fit inside the frame.

Love it so far. The springs are much stronger than the old system. We have had zero problems with the RoadMaster system.
I purchased the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar about a year ago. I have a 2016 F250 which did not come with an Anti-Sway bar. Why they come with one is crazy.
I have a Slide in Truck Camper and and it made a world of difference. With out it, it felt very rollie. My other truck I had the Hellwig anti-sway bar. It was ok, not as good as the Roadmaster. In my opinion.
I installed this on my 2013 F350 and wow what a difference hauling my camper. Also made a difference with my 5th wheel. It took a while to install by myself but you can do it.
Seem like a well made product, some modifcation to install and the instructions are not great but overall a good product
Made a big difference just in daily driving. Yet to tow with it, but expect good results. Instructions not real helpful as they were for replacing a factory bar, which my truck (2017 Ford F-250 4x2) didn't have, also needed to bend a wrench to tighten the upper link connector, but all in all very satisfied.
The product works great and I received it in a timely manner...The only problem was I requested this part to accommodate a lifted vehicle and the person that I spoke with said they could get me what I needed. But they didn't it was for a stock vehicle. So I had to order the extension arms through the manufacturer. I feel your staff is not informed about the product they sale
I purchased the rear anti sway bar and end link kit because my 2017 Ford F350 single SRW did not come with a rear sway bar from the factory. The sway bar came with instructions and fits the truck well. The end link kit did not come with instructions, so I had to find an existing hole in each side of the frame to mount them to. Although there is a larger hole in the frame above the hole that I was mounting the end links through, there is not enough room to put a wrench on the nut inside the frame. So I welded the nut to a 1"x2"x3/16" steel plate. Then I was able to slip the nut/plate assembly into the frame and tighten the bolt. Additionally, there are no bolt torque specs, so I torqued the 1/2" bolts to 80 ft-lbs, and the 3/8" bolts to 60 ft-lbs. I have to hope that is sufficient. Of course, I shouldn't have to hope. That information should be included in instructions, and the nut/steel plate assemblies (or some other option) should be included in the end link kit. Although the finished product appears to be good quality, I gave it 3 stars due to the incomplete end link kit.

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar has been a tremendous addition to my truck. I carry a 2,500 lb. Lance truck camper in the bed of the truck. Although the truck can easily accommodate the weight of the camper, it is top heavy at a loaded height of 11 to the top of the AC unit. Prior to installing the anti-sway bar, the truck swayed significantly. The anti-sway bar has eliminated excessive sway. On center, the truck will still sway, but as I round a curve, the truck will sway a little bit and then just stop swaying as the anti-sway bar is loaded. It gives me much greater confidence driving around curves at speed. I can typically maintain the same speed as most traffic around me. I highly recommend the Roadmaster anti-sway bar for anyone carrying a truck camper.
The stabilizer bar is nice and heavy duty in appearance. The product has poor instructions for the end link installation which my truck required. No way to put a wrench on the lock nuts supplied inside the Ford "boxed frame" so I used nonlocking nuts with star washers to prevent them from turning to install. The drilled holes in the bar ends were too small to install the supplied hardware and I had to drill them out.
This is a heavy duty sway bar. Very good hardware and bushings.
Made a world of difference in control while pulling my 12k lb. Jayco Eagle
Always have very good luck with etrailer, delivered fast and quality parts...

A solid solution for handling and gives my truck a safer feel while pulling massive weight. Very much appreciate the quality of bushings and hardware this came with. It ended any handling problems I was having ...
Sway bar has worked great. Only problem was the nut holding the drop link to the frame cut the washer which then fell off. This allowed the drop link to move around quite a bit. It made a loud enough noise that I discovered it quickly and replaced the nut and washer. This happened on the drivers side too. I replaced that before the washer broke. The nuts have a sharp backside edge to them. You may want to change those out.
Easy installation, looks and works great. Use on my 2015 F250 in conjunction with an Airlift 5000 auto leveling system and Demco hijacker auto slide 5th wheel hitch - using the under bed mount.
After months of waiting for supply chain issues to resolve I received my Sway Bar which is not abnormal these days and was pleasantly surprised that it was packaged quite well... The directions were sketchy though and the install took some time as I had to remove the DEF tank for access to the End link on driver side (not fun)....The Thing That Aggravated Me the Most was that the Sway Bar Eyelets were to small to allow the 1/2" bolt to fit... I wore out 2 drill bits reaming out the holes for both sides to get a proper fit... The company boasts AMERICAN MADE... Chinese I expect this... NOT US Made... WTH!?!
The sway bar went in very well. No holes to drill. Bad part for me is your videos only show a replacement. I didn't have one to start with so it was a bit tricky getting a bolt and nut in place. The bump stops went in perfectly.
All in all i couldn't ask for more. I now have about 600 miles in with the Camper on the truck. Perfect set up.
The sway bars really helped keep the rear of the truck stable, eliminating most of the rear end sway. Much easier to keep it straight, especially in the wind and on uneven road surfaces. Very happy with this purchase.
I received the wrong kit, I needed RM-1139-173-00 and I was sent RM-1139-173. I'm missing all the internals parts because my Ford Truck F250 Super Duty never had a factory sway bar installed. Your customer service helped me in getting the right parts sent to me. etrailer has a Great customer service. Can't send any photos as of yet because I'm waiting for the rest of the parts to catch up from Roadmaster.
Installs as intended replacing original F350 4x4 8'bed (2016), fit perfectly. Need to wait for my next truck camper load to see if it works fully loaded, but runs great empty! My truck has a 2" lift. Only difficulty was the 1 rusty nut for original removal behind the gas tank.
Put this on by myself....it's heavy and would recommend a extra set of hands. It comes with all hardware needed including the special grease for the bushing's.Could tell the difference even empty, does change ride quality some but nothing drastic, great product would buy again
Very easy to install and fixes the issue I was having with swaying.
The product works great.
Have not had time to install but looks to be very good quality.

One year later and I’m very satisfied with this sway bar. My truck rear end feels very “planted” when empty and very stable under heavy loads. Great product for the price and way beefier than Ford’s OEM sway bar.
