Hey John, thanks for reaching out. I looked up the online manual for the 2024 Chevy Trax and according to the manual this vehicle can be dinghy towed with all 4 wheels on the ground, or it can be dolly towed with the front wheels off the ground. I included a screenshot from the manual below. I do suggest that you read over your manual and make sure this is consistent with what you see in yours. Also make sure you fully read and understand all of the instructions pertaining to flat towing.

Here is a complete list of parts I recommend for your flat tow setup:

I just purchased a 2026 Chevrolet Trax LT because the manual states it can be flat towed or dinghy towed. But, now I am finding information that says it cannot be. How can you tell what the truth is? I don’t want to lose a transmission and have to pay for it myself. Any other sources of confirmation?

@HK For a U.S.-spec 2026 Chevrolet Trax LT, Chevrolet’s own current documentation says it is flat towable with all four wheels on the ground. There is some conflicting information online, but much of it comes from the previous-generation Trax, which was not flat towable. The strongest confirmation is the 2026 Chevrolet Trax Owner’s Manual directly from GM. Under Recreational Vehicle Towing - Dinghy Towing, Chevrolet gives an actual procedure for towing the Trax from the front with all four wheels on the ground. It specifically instructs you to put the transmission in Neutral, connect the tow bar, release the parking brake, leave the transmission in Neutral, and turn the vehicle off. Chevrolet also places a 70 mph maximum speed on dinghy towing. Are you needing a flat tow package for your Trax? Let me know. I'm happy to throw together a parts list for you.
