Roadmaster Base Plate Kit for 2025 Chevrolet Trax

Published 04/01/2025

Question:

I am setting up my 2025 Chevy Trax to flat tow behind my motorhome and the only baseplate I see available are Blue Ox. My tow bar from my last set up was a Roadmaster Falcon 2 so I was hoping Roadmaster made a baseplate, or am I going to have to get a new towbar as well?

Hey Charlene! Roadmaster actually does make a base plate for your 2025 Chevy Trax. If you do not have the ACTIV trim level you need the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM25EQ and if you have the ACTIV trim you need the # RM25DQ. Both will work with your Roadmaster Falcon 2 so you won't need a new tow bar. Do you have the rest of your setup already? You will also need the following:

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights - 7-to-6-Way Adapter Cord # RM26FR (if you have incandescent lights and need the adapter cord)

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage Incandescent Tail Lights # RO94FR (if you have incandescent lights and don't need the adapter cord)

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights - 7-Way to 6-Way Adapter Cord # RM38FR (if you have LED lights and need the adapter cord)

-Roadmaster Smart Diode Kit for Variable Voltage LED Tail Lights # RO44FR (if you have LED lights and don't need the adapter cord)

-Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System # RM-766

-Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25

-Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM88DQ (Assuming you're still using the InvisiBrake # RM-8700)

Thank you for the quick response, I do need to get all the wiring as well. I have the invisabrake from the other set up so I will just move that one over. I bought an RS model so I will have to check the lights and see which ones we have for the wiring. Thanks for the list of part numbers! Makes my life easier.
