Do you have a recommendation for a tow bar/base plate/braking system for towing a 2016 Colorado behind an Allegro RED?

Hi Eric; I would be happy to help you set up your 2016 Chevy Colorado for flat towing. In addition to the parts you listed you will also need safety cables and tow bar wiring. I recommend the following:
-Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-523182-5 (assuming you do not have adaptive cruise control)
-Roadmaster Falcon All-Terrain Tow Bar # RM-522
-Roadmaster 64" Single Hook, Straight Safety Cables # RM-645
-Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-15267
-Roadmaster Battery Disconnect for Towed Vehicle w/ Flat Tow Brake System - Gas Only # RM-766
-Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System for RVs w/ Air Brakes # SM99243
It looks like your Tiffin Allegro RED has air brakes so the Demco Air Force One is the way to go for the brake system. If it has hydraulic brakes you need the Demco Stay-IN-Play Duo # SM99251 instead. More than likely you will also need a high-low adapter to keep your setup level. Hey Eric, how did your flat tow setup for the Colorado and Allegro RED come together? I’m curious if the Roadmaster base plate and wiring kit worked smoothly with your tow bar and braking system. Your update could make it easier for the next person setting up a similar combo.
