Part Number: ETBC7 Part Number: C51180 I understand that the existing 4-pin will connect to the 4-pin, the black wire connects to postive terminal, the white wire conencts to negative terminal and the yellow wire if I chose to is the reverse lights. My question is about the blue wire which connects to the brake controller. Because I am using the Curt Echo, does the blue wire then connect to the wire above the brake pedal that engages the brake lights when activated?

Hey Billy,
Since you're going with the curt Echo # C51180 the blue wire from the # ETBC7 would have nothing to connect to so you can just cap off the blue wire with some electrical tape. If you ever decide to install a hardwired brake controller you can just remove the tape and run a 10 gauge wire # 10-1-1 from the blue wire up into the cab to the brake controller's wire harness. The Curt Echo # C51180 uses the 12v power pin and and inertia to activate.
