Hey Doug,

The cables built into the Go Power Solar Flex Expansion Kit # 34272629 are 11" in length. If you're needing an extension we offer a few different cable lengths of the positive # GP54ZR (25') and negative # GP34ZR (25') MC4 cables. If the cables are running to another MC4 connection you'll need to pick up part # RED98VR and crimp them onto the cables once you cut them down to your desired length.

If you're needing anything else just let me know and I'd be happy to help.

So just to confirm. The choice is basically 1 ft. included or add 25 ft. Nothing in-between those 2 choices?

@DougM No, there are other lengths available, I just chose that length as an example since it's one of the better prices per foot. I actually just bought these myself for a solar/inverter/power center setup I was doing and used the extra lengths leftover after wiring in the solar panels on other items that I was installing. If you're planning on doing more than just the solar I would look at what's going to give you the best bang for your buck. The smaller lengths under 25' that we offer all come in black and include both the male and female connectors. Since these already have the MC4 connectors # RED98VR crimped onto them you wouldn't want to cut them unless you had more available and would instead want to bundle any excess length up with some zip ties. 3' # 34274672 10' # 34276216 15' # 34279532 If you're permanently mounting these on your roof you'll also want to put a glob of self-leveling sealant # 34427034145-1 over the cables every so often to help prevent them from catching in the wind and smacking the roof repeatedly.
