Question:
I’d like to know if there is a strength or mechanical design benefit to using this universal triple lug tow bar adapter RM62ZR over the less expensive roadmaster base plate adapter RO64FR? I’m switching to a blue ox tow bar from an older ready brute hooking to my roadmaster baseplate.

Hey Don,
Nope, there is no strength or mechanical design benefit to using the Universal Triple-Lug Tow Bar Adapter for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # RM62ZR instead of the Roadmaster Base Plate Adapter Brackets for Blue Ox RV-Mounted Tow Bars # RO64FR.
Price doesn't reflect the relative quality of the adapters, it's just a simple supply/demand/use case with them. So feel free - and safe - to use the # RO64FR.

I would love to hear an update the # RO64FR is very loose and seems scary to use

Hey Don, how did things go with the Roadmaster adapter when switching to your Blue Ox tow bar? It’d be great to hear if the connection felt solid and worked as expected. Your update could make it easier for others making the same change.
