Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the accessory clamp for the Bulletproof Hitches Adjustable Ball Mounts. Now this video is just gonna be based upon this on this accessory clamp and how it works. And for a demonstration, I've pulled this Bulletproof channel mount that has a dual ball mount installed in it, and I'm gonna show you how this accessory clamp will work. Basically what this does, it's a simple clamp plate with a bolt. Lemme zoom in a little bit so I can see better.
But you can see it's a clamp plate with a bolt attached to it, and that fills the gap between the ball mount and the channel, has a plate with a one inch bolt, and then it gives you the offset wrench to tighten it down. So basically what happens is when you put your dual ball mount in your channel mount, or any of your accessories, you can see it has play to it. So when you're towing, and it's doing that, it's pretty annoying. Plus, it can wear out. So what this accessory clamp does, installation's pretty simple.
All you have to do is make sure this bolt is loose, and then drop the clamp behind the dual ball or whatever accessory is in there, with the bolt facing out. And then just tighten the bolt by hand. And once you tighten it up, snug it, and then finish it off with this off-set wrench. And once we put our wrench on there, there we go. Go ahead and put your wrench, and just snug it up, just like that.
And once you get it snug enough. There we go. Once we get it snugged up, what'll happen now, is you'll notice, if I try to move it, there's no movement in that ball mount that's attached. It's up against that pin, and the dual ball mount keeps any movement from happening. Plus, what's a nice feature, is it also, (clears throat) when it's like that, it'll also prevent theft.
Because what'll happen is, nobody can really access that bolt with a socket or a wrench. So even if they took out the bottom pin, with that tightened down, the pin in the top won't come out. So they won't be able to take that. It is designed to work with many of the bulletproof accessories in the bulletproof channel mount, and it is a steel construction. And we'll go ahead and take it out so we can show you. And once we get it loose, and pull it out, you can see it as a nice steel construction. It has a black powder coat finish just like on their hitches, to prevent any rusting. But that should do it for the review on this accessory clamp for the Bulletproof Hitches Adjustable Ball Mounts.
